academics on the fringe

This New York Times graphic, which is based on Neil Gross and Solon Simmons' "The Social and Political Views of American Professors", is rather interesting. Apparently the number of self-identified conservative professors in US social sciences and humanities faculties is but a few percentage points. You are more likely to find an American who believes the moon landings were a hoax than a prof who considers himself conservative.
